In Loving Memory of Cecelia “CeeCee” Tucker
With profound sadness and enduring gratitude, the William A. Hunton YMCA honors the life and legacy of Ms. Cecelia “CeeCee” Tucker—an extraordinary leader, tireless advocate, and beloved member of our YMCA family.
Ms. CeeCee was more than a supporter of the historic Hunton YMCA; she was one of its strongest pillars. As a former Chair of the Board of Directors, she helped guide our organization with vision, purpose, and heart. Her leadership was marked by clarity and conviction, and she remained an unwavering presence—continuing to serve with grace and determination until her passing on July 29, 2025.
For over two decades, Ms. CeeCee poured her soul into our mission. Her deep commitment to equity, youth enrichment, and uplifting underserved communities was not just evident in her words, but in every action she took. She believed in the power of connection and community and lived that belief daily, lifting others with quiet strength, deep compassion, and boundless generosity.
To know Ms. CeeCee was to witness love in motion. She stood for what was right, led with wisdom, and never lost sight of the importance of service. Her voice inspired, her presence steadied, and her heart opened doors for countless individuals and families.
As we mourn this immeasurable loss, we also celebrate the life of a woman who shaped lives and changed futures. Her legacy will continue to echo through our halls, programs, and the generations she uplifted.
We extend our deepest condolences to the Tucker family and to all who were touched by her extraordinary spirit. Ms. CeeCee’s light will forever shine through the work we do and the community she so fiercely loved.
With heartfelt remembrance,
The William A. Hunton YMCA Family
